At Dabble, we're committed to empowering kids to see our city as both their playground and classroom, but we know that volunteering as a family can be challenging. That’s why we've teamed up with our amazing partners to offer a range of meaningful activities that positively impact communities across Chicago.

Most of our partner organizations offer Service Learning credits, so be sure to inquire.

Operation Hope Drops

Dabble Cares aims to make your rainy days a little brighter with invisible hopes painted the sidewalks, and you can only see them when it rains. Spot a Hope Drop in your neighborhood? Post a picture with #HopeDrops or #DabbleCares on social media and take a free Dabble class on us.

The Hope Project, recently featured on WBEZ, is an evolution of the Nettelhorst School’s annual Pride Fence. This year, students posted their hopes and wishes to the trees along Broadway. Then, Catalyze and Pete Hill of LittleBits, relentless STEM advocates, laser-cut the children’s hand-written notes into stencils. The “paint” sprayed on the sidewalks is a non-toxic, biodegradable, water-repellent solution called Rainworks that lasts only six weeks. When it rains, the sidewalks darken and the kid's words reappear.

Enjoy the rain!

Dabble Cares is proud to support intergenerational programming designed to help strengthen the social bonds between people with Alzheimer’s, their families and the greater community.
We’re fond of saying around here that a Dabble Kids' class is your ticket to possibility.  Think of a DK Wisdom class as your kid's ticket to possibility, times two.
